Less than 3 months to go!

Hi Everyone!

The wedding is coming up very quickly so I thought I would send out a letter to give you some pre-departure information.

• We depart from Toronto at 7:10pm on March 19, and arrive in Punta Cana at 11:30pm on Flight 3160
• We leave Dominican at 12:20am on March 27 and arrive in Toronto at 4:55am on Flight 3159. (these times have changed a few times, but I’m hoping that these are confirmed now)
• Those of you who are interested in taking the group bus, there will be 2 pick up locations, 1st is at Aaron’s parents place in Granton, and the 2nd is at the Wellington Road car pool area on Highway 401. I will let you know definite times as we get closer to the date.
• The price for the bus is $45 total per person. This includes the return.
• The wedding is on March 23, 2012 at 2pm with a reception at 6:30pm.
• Thomas Cook has strict luggage allowance so pack light! It’s 5 kg for carry on and 20kg for checked luggage. For more information, please check the Thomas Cook website. They will weigh each piece of luggage and it is expensive if you go over the weight restrictions, so please pack carefully and lightly (remember to save some room in case you bring back any souvenirs)
• The day after we arrive at the resort, there will be an orientation to welcome everyone to the resort. At that time, they will discuss many different options for excursions! There’s tons to do and tons to see...if you want to some ideas... http://www.viator.com/Punta-Cana/d794-ttd.
• Aaron is arranging a golf day. If you are interested in golfing while you are there, please let Aaron know ASAP as he is looking for the best deal on a gorgeous golf course on the ocean and needs to know how many tee times to book.
• And a few more little reminders....please make sure your vaccinations are up to date, we recommend going to the travel clinic and asking questions. Please make sure you have passports! You will not need a voltage converter there, so you can bring any necessary small appliances. Calling cards will only work if the number you need to dial first is NOT a 1-800 number. I recommend emailing loved ones, instead of calling...it’s a lot cheaper. The maids and bartenders at the resort appreciate tips like a dollar here or there (in US Dollars), but they also appreciate things that we take for granted like toothpaste and toothbrushes. We recommend going to the dollar store to pick up a few items to use for tips instead of cash. There is a $20 US departure tax that each person must pay upon leaving the Dominican Republic, so don’t spend all your cash! And finally, don’t forget the important things like sunscreen, hat, sunglasses...etc. It gets VERY hot there...

We are looking forward to spending a week with you all! If you have any questions, please ask and we will do our best to find the answer for you! The remaining balance is due before the end of January so please contact Anita at Robert Q at 519-539-8124. Less than 3 months to go! Happy New Year Everyone! We are thrilled that you are all able to join us on our wedding day!

Lots of Love...
Lisa, Aaron and Evan
